My journey with the plants began in 2013, after a bout of meningitis brought me to the brink of death. During that period of my life, I wasn't taking good care of myself. I was working too hard, living under constant stress, and seeking unhealthy outlets. To be honest, I was mostly just constantly running away from myself.

Through the work with the mother plant, I slowly began to discover who I truly was, beyond all the layers of conditioning and identifications I had built up over the years. A deeper appreciation for life emerged, and step by step, I began to experience its magic once more.

Patterns stemming from old pain and wounds slowly began to soften and dissolve. I felt lighter, freer, more joyful, and more connected to myself. At the same time, the mother plant began to teach me — about energy, consciousness, and the work itself.

After six years of regularly attending ceremonies, I felt a deep calling to go to the Peruvian jungle, with the intention of truly learning to work with the plants. There, my true apprenticeship began, guided by a Shipibo maestro shaman. This journey continued energetically into a five-year schooling where I was challenged to my limits to integrate my shadows and transform them into light.

I always felt that I could only begin this work once the personal drive had disappeared — when my ego no longer had a place in the work. That realization came after I returned from the jungle. When the opportunity presented itself, I honestly asked myself: do I actually want this? The answer was no. And precisely in that 'no' lay the sign for me that the time was ripe to begin working with the plants.

A beautiful six-year chapter followed, during which I helped lay the foundations for Mochilero and nurtured its growth with great love. Eventually, I felt it was time for a new chapter: to follow my own path, together with my husband.

Now, a new phase has begun. A phase where, with my new team, I get to work even more from a place of love, equality, purity, and respect. Where we can help people remember their own power and reconnect them with their natural healing abilities. A time when magic is invited to reclaim its place.

I am happy to offer people a safe and stable foundation to look at what still resides in the shadows, so that it may become visible and transform into light. For that is what the plants offer us: the most honest mirror there is. They teach us who we truly are, precisely by first showing us what we are not.

With my energy, experience, knowledge, and ability to release blockages and allow energy to flow again, I gladly support this process. Together with our team, we create a safe space where you can feel held and supported as you embark on your own inner journey.

In 2017, I was introduced to the Mother Plant for the first time. It marked the beginning of my path as a shaman, although I did not know it at the time. It was not a path I had chosen for myself, but one the Mother Plant opened within me because that was her intention.

At first, I was mainly afraid of what I might encounter within myself—afraid of what this powerful plant might show me. But the more I engaged in the work, the more my trust grew. Step by step, I allowed the Mother Plant in more deeply.

I underwent a profound transformation during the ceremonies, which continued to unfold throughout my life. I became more relaxed and courageous, opened myself more fully, and began to truly live.

I have deep reverence for the plants and spirits and am fascinated by the Indigenous traditions that work with her. In 2024, I felt called to travel to Brazil to learn from the Huni Kuin, deep in the jungle of Acre.

It was there that I truly found myself—first through intense resistance and fear, and later through complete surrender to the discomforts of the jungle and to the Huni Kuin people, who live there in such pure harmony with nature.

My journey into the jungle initiated a process within me that has increasingly empowered me and brought me to where I am today. It made me realise that this is indeed my path.

It connected me with the energy of the serpent—the energy that helps us release what no longer serves us. It is the energy I now work with during ceremonies to bring calm to those who need it.

I guide intuitively, with groundedness and respect for the spirits of the plants and Mother Nature. During ceremonies, I create a stable, safe, and loving space in which people can open themselves, let go, and come home to who they truly are.

Part of what I bring is my gentle, steady presence—a supportive space in which people feel seen and held. Healing does not arise because someone saves you, but because you remember who you are. Everyone develops at their own pace; there is no need to compare ourselves with one another.

We are all our own healers; the power we seek already lives within us.

“Would you like to join a ceremony sometime?” My answer was yes! Without any knowledge of plant medicine, I stepped into it blindly. At that time, my life was clouded by a lack of self-love and an excess of self-destructive behaviour.

With a background marked by loss, complex family circumstances, addiction, and inherited challenges, I embarked on a journey of looking into the mirror. The Mother Plant has a way of showing you who you truly are, what you are doing, and especially the impact you have. From there, you can decide what to do with these insights and whether your actions align with who you want to be—or, more importantly, “who you have always been deep within.”

After each ceremony, I found it daunting to book another one. At the same time, I realised that the lessons and insights I had gained were profoundly and rapidly changing how I viewed myself and the world. I worked through years of suppressed emotions and feelings, transforming them into lessons and wisdom that I still recall with gratitude every day.

What began with immense fear and a loss of self gradually transformed into hope and trust, and eventually into gratitude, love, and respect for the medicine. I have been working with the medicine since 2024.

When facilitating ceremonies, people describe me as a grounded man with a gentle and caring energy. I offer safety while also providing encouragement when the process calls for it. When someone begins to lose hope in themselves, I am there to remind them of their strength and courage. I have endless patience, and I believe this is one of the great keys that can lead us towards liberation.

I love to laugh and create moments that bring some lightness into our often serious lives. Through singing, poetry, playing the guitar, and other forms of musical expression, I enjoy connecting with everyone.

During a period in my life when I was going through a difficult and intense phase, I felt a strong calling towards plant medicine. It was as though something deep within me was saying: it is time to stop running, to stop burying the pain, grief, and everything else that longs to be felt. It was time to truly look at myself.

Despite the apprehension I felt going into my first ceremony weekend, I sensed the love of the medicine almost immediately—not only as a gentle presence, but also as the mirror I so desperately needed at that time. A mirror that shows you not only who you are, but also what you are still carrying with you.

After that first weekend, I knew deep within that this path had only just begun. Every few months, I returned to the ceremonies, and layer by layer, I began to understand myself better. Sometimes confronting, sometimes intense, but always revealing exactly what needed to be seen.

The facilitators used to say that the most challenging ceremonies are often the ones that bring you the most. I can now confirm that this is true. It was precisely during the moments when I fully confronted or lost myself that the greatest growth, softening, and transformation arose in my daily life.

Gradually, my connection with the medicine grew ever deeper. It felt familiar, as though I were coming home, even though I initially found it difficult to put this feeling into words. With every ceremony, it became clearer why this path had entered my life. The medicine worked deeply within my consciousness and helped me find strength in the darker parts of myself. The energy of the serpent helped me release what no longer served me, while the rainbow dragon repeatedly reminded me of the light, trust, and love within myself.

Plant medicine showed me with increasing clarity that I was meant to create a place where people could come for healing, stillness, and release. After completing an in-depth and connective breathwork training programme, I decided to focus more on guiding people through breathwork and plant medicine in my own ceremonial space in Zwolle. Soon afterwards, I was invited to assist with the ceremonies at Finca Beija Flor. It made many pieces of the puzzle fall into place, and I wholeheartedly said yes.

People describe me as a woman who embodies her feminine strength with love and gentleness. I believe that genuine transformation arises when there is space to be completely yourself, without judgement or pressure. Together, we create a safe and supportive space in which everything that longs to be felt, faced, and released is welcome.
